Ably led by Spring Plantation and Processing Co. Limited, GlobalWyse Limited and Aquapro Limited, the Spring Group consists of other production players like inputs suppliers, extension service providers, production insurance policy providers, farmers associations and producer cooperatives. We synergise our capacity to deliver precision-based, mechanised production activities to meet the needs of processing and manufacturing companies and work with funding stakeholders on established values of Trusts, Expertise, Safety of Assets and Project Sustainability.
Our Outgrower Farming Model:
We are conversant with outgrower farmers models in operation all over Africa. Our own model takes into account this models and modify in a manner to bring optimum results in Nigeria. The essence of the involvement and development of local communities cannot be over emphasized. This is a critical success factor for the success and long term viability of the SpringGroup’s Outgrowers Scheme. The success depends on the creation of wealth for all stakeholders. Participating local farmers are to enjoy great level of training and development and other capacity building activities to enable them perform their roles in their respective farm clusters and colonies. The training and development will be on an ongoing basis with the purpose for the participating local farmers becoming mentors for new participating local farmers that shall join in a sustainable manner. The objective of the training strategy will be based on knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and exemplary behaviour. This is to bring about change in people to produce high quality farmers, professionals, managers and farm workers out of the local communities.
